Zoo Brew

It was Bridget’s first evening in the US, so when colleagues asked if we want to join this year’s Zoo Brew we were happy to accept. My apartment is in walking distance to the Detroit Zoo, so what better than a nice evening out with beers and ciders.

Zoo Brew is an evening event where you walk through the zoo. So far so normal, but this time less for the animals (it’s their regular bed time), but for craft beers and ciders.

At the entrance you get your glass and a punch card. The refill stations are distributed all over the zoo, so you basically walk, drink and repeat.

The evening started really nice, we talked and enjoyed the ciders. At some point literally everybody ran out of ciders.

I didn’t check, but they will get smashed in reviews by people waiting in line for 30 minutes to hear that they just ran out of cider.

However it was a great evening out and a good start into Bridget’s first visit to the Detroit area.
