On our way up north to visit the Pictured Rocks, we had a lot of distance to cover.
Michigan is pretty large, about half the size of Germany (area wise).
So when planning the route I stumbled upon the Great Spring - Kitch Iti Kippi.
It’s Michigan’s largest natural freshwater spring.
The pool is about 300 by 175 feet and 40 feet deep.
The flow is about 10,000US gallons per minute - that explains the name Great Spring.
