In the Morning we we’re surprised by a fantastic breakfast.
Very often breakfast in hotels includes a plastic wrapped bagel and a cold coffee.
Not at the Summer’s Inn.
We had home made bread, with fresh scrambled eggs…
The owner also told us about a state park, with beautiful hiking trails.
We were planning to visit one of the lighthouses anyway, but first we followed his advice and hiked along the Lost Lake Board Walk - didn’t regret it, because the nature was amazing.
At the northern most point we then turned towards Grand Sable Point.
Unfortunately that also meant we had to walk through sand dunes again and after the day at Sleeping Bear Dunes we too weren’t thrilled about more sand.
However the hike was worth it.
The old lighthouse at rough, windy lake is totally worth a visit.
We even climbed up the stairs and took we amazing panorama photos.
Later that afternoon we drove towards Grand Haven, but not without stopping at Little Sable Point - another lighthouse at Lake Michigan.
After dinner at a small Indian restaurant we drove downtown to see the Musical Fountain. We were a little late and only caught the last few minutes.
